
Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown revealed his playing status for Week 1.
It looks like the Philadelphia Eagles will have star wide receiver A.J. Brown on the field for the season-opener against the rival Dallas Cowboys.
Brown, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, told Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer that he will play on Thursday.
Brown appeared in 13 games for the Eagles last season. He recorded 67 receptions for 1,079 yards and seven touchdowns.
The Eagles, of course, won the Super Bowl last season. They beat the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams and Washington Commanders in the NFC playoffs and blew out the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
Brown had 12 receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns in the 2024 playoffs against the Packers, Rams, Commanders and Chiefs.
A three-time Pro Bowler, Brown enters this season with 446 career receptions for 7,026 yards and 49 touchdowns with the Tennessee Titans and Eagles. He's one of the top wideouts in the NFL and is highly respected by his peers.
Brown, 28, was voted the 29th best player in the league in the annual NFL Top 100 players list.
It will be fascinating to see if the Eagles can repeat as champions this season. Brown, Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith will have to have strong campaigns once again for Philadelphia to reach the promised land for the second consecutive year.
