The Philadelphia Eagles will be shorthanded against the Washington Commanders.
The Philadelphia Eagles take on the Washington Commanders on Saturday and they will be without two star players.
The Eagles announced on Thursday that DT Jalen Carter and LT Lane Johnson will not play after not practicing all week.
Carter will miss his third game in a row with the injuries to both of his shoulders, while Johnson is sidelined for the fifth game in a row with a foot injury.
The Eagles are 9-5, while the Commanders are 4-10.
Philadelphia should win this game since Washington starting QB Jayden Daniels is out for the season.
The Eagles snapped their three-game losing streak last week by defeating the lowly Las Vegas Raiders, 31-0. All signs point toward the Birds winning the NFC East again.
Philadelphia is 18th in the NFL in points per game and sixth in points per game allowed. QB Jalen Hurts has been under a lot of scrutiny this season, but LB Nakobe Dean is happy that he's playing for Hurts and no one else.
"I wouldn't want another quarterback, to be honest," Dean said. "You see a guy that takes so much criticism in every aspect. Since he's been in the league, it seems like he's on top of the mountain one day in the public eye and in the next, they're trying to bury him. And you just see a guy that comes in with the same resolve, the same mindset each week to work and get better. To me, he can't do no wrong in my eyes. I don't care what nobody says."
Hurts now has 2,929 passing yards, 22 passing touchdowns, 376 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns on the season.
The Eagles have three games left in the regular season. They face the Commanders twice and the Buffalo Bills.
