The Philadelphia Eagles are one of the NFL's best rosters right now. Their defense is incredible and should be one of the best in the NFL this upcoming season.
But the big question is on the offensive side of the ball. Sean Mannion is now the offensive coordinator, A.J. Brown is gone, and in his place are Makai Lemon and Dontayvion Wicks, among others. It's a new-look offense for Philadelphia.
The Athletic's Zach Berman shared that the Eagles' projected win total is 10.4, which is strong, but not as high as some other teams in the NFL. However, if just one thing happens, Berman believes the Eagles could "easily" surpass that projection.
"If the offense adjusts quickly and the running game is invigorated with a healthy offensive line and Saquon Barkley in the new system, this will hit the over - and perhaps even easily," Berman writes.
Philadelphia winning more than 10 games this upcoming season wouldn't be a surprise; it would only continue the streak from the last four years with at least 11 wins per season.
But to reach 11 wins this upcoming season, Mannion and Jalen Hurts are going to need to mesh well in the new-look Eagles offense right away.
A sluggish start, considering the tough end of their 2026 season, could mean an underwhelming year is in store for Philadelphia.
As Berman noted, the offensive line getting healthy is huge, and with the reports from the joint practice against the New England Patriots, with the massive running lanes that were being opened up, Barkley could be in for a huge 2026 season.
But even if the running game is working as it did in 2024, the passing game will need to thrive without Brown in it. DeVonta Smith, Lemon, and Wicks, alongside tight end Dallas Geodert, will need to thrive.
There's been positive buzz about all of them so far during training camp and the offseason, but the regular season is a different story.
However, if the Eagles offense can actually figure things out early this upcoming season and thrive in this new-look offense under Mannion, the sky might be the limit for this Eagles team, and the 10.4 projected win total could be beaten easily.
