The Philadelphia Eagles could try to make a trade deadline move to fix a surprising weakness.

The Philadelphia Eagles have long been known for boasting a dominant offensive line, but the unit has not been quite as strong this season.

As a result, running back Saquon Barkley has struggled, failing to register a single 100-yard performance on the ground thus far. So could the Eagles make a move to address the issue?

Vinnie Iyer of Sporting News thinks so, urging Philadelphia to swing a trade for Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Wyatt Teller before the trade deadline.

"The Eagles need to replace [Tyler] Steen if they expect Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts to get going together at the same time in the running game," Iyer wrote.

Steen took over the starting right guard job for the Eagles this year after the team lost Mekhi Becton to free agency. The third-year pro has been laboring, posting a 58.8 run-blocking grade at Pro Football Focus.

Teller is in the final year of his contract with the Browns and is a pretty obvious trade candidate as a result. He made three straight Pro Bowls between 2021 and 2023, but he has actually declined quite a bit since then, so it's not like Philadelphia would be landing a star player here.

However, Teller would definitely represent an upgrade over Steen and has plenty of experience. He was so impressive throughout his Browns tenure, in fact, that Cleveland inked him to a four-year, $57 million contract extension back in November 2021.

The Browns almost certainly won't be re-signing the 30-year-old at this point, so it seems like only a matter of time before they move him.

Philly probably would not have to give up a whole lot in return for Teller either given his dip in performance and his impending free-agent status, so the Eagles may be able to nab Teller for a Day 3 pick.

Philadelphia has a stash of draft picks in its arsenal for 2026, so it should have no problem parting with one for a player like Teller who would significantly improve the team in the trenches.

The Eagles are 5-2 and sit in first place in the NFC East. They haven't looked great on either side of the ball thus far, so a couple of moves between now and Nov. 4 may be necessary for the defending Super Bowl champions.
