The Philadelphia Eagles fell to 2-5 with a disappointing loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
The Philadelphia Eagles' rough season is continuing, as they were blown out by the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night, losing 38-21.
Philadelphia's defense struggled to contain Dallas's explosive offense. Cowboys running back Javonte Williams had a career day, rushing for 155 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries. As a team, Dallas rushed for 204 yards and a touchdown on 38 carries (5.4 yards per carry).
The Cowboys also had success through the air, as Dak Prescott completed 15 of 27 passes for 212 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. CeeDee Lamb was a tough cover, as he had five receptions for 74 yards and two touchdowns, while George Pickens had four receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown.
Although the Eagles are facing many injuries to key players, it was still a disappointing performance from their defense. Philadelphia did not record a sack or tackle for loss, as they constantly loss at the line of scrimmage.
The Eagles didn't have their best offensive performance either. Saquon Barkley rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown, along with two receptions for nine yards, but he dealt with multiple injuries during the game.

In the passing game, backup quarterback Tanner McKee completed 23 of 35 passes for 211 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. They were without two of their top receivers, DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks, which allowed rookie first-round pick Makai Lemon to have a strong performance.
Lemon had seven receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown, finally showing that he can be a key piece for Philadelphia on offense. Tight end Dallas Goedert was also solid with five receptions for 48 yards.
Overall, the Eagles had a rough performance, as it's always difficult to lose to a division rival. Although the NFC East has been a wide-open division, Philadelphia has a plethora of injuries, and they are more likely to be sellers at the trade deadline than to compete for a playoff spot.
The Eagles will head on the road to take on the Washington Commanders on Sunday in what is turning into a rebuilding and gap year for Philadelphia just two seasons removed from winning the Super Bowl.
