Philadelphia Eagles GM Howie Roseman spoke about A.J. Brown's future with the team after taking Makai Lemon in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

After the Philadelphia Eagles drafted WR Makai Lemon in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, Howie Roseman was asked about A.J. Brown's future.

ESPN recently reported that the Eagles are expected to trade Brown to the New England Patriots in June.

"A.J. is a member of the Eagles," Roseman said. "We don't have any trades that have been made, or that are done. And I think for us, we're taking this one day at a time. We're going to look to improve the team tomorrow, and we'll continue to address anything that we have to with our roster, not only through this draft weekend, but we'll continue to look for ways to improve the team throughout the offseason, and as we get into training camp."

During the Eagles' wild-card round loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Nick Sirianni and Brown got into a heated sideline exchange. Philadelphia lost to San Francisco by a final score of 23-19. Brown had two drops, tying a career high, and declined to speak to the media postgame.

Brown finished the Eagles-49ers game with three catches for 25 yards on seven targets. Philadelphia fans booed him after his second drop in the fourth quarter.

The Eagles haven't been highly incentivized to move Brown right now because of money. A trade before June 1 would come with a 2026 cap hit of over $40 million, compared to less than $20 million if he's dealt after that date.

A three-time Pro Bowler, Brown has been with the Eagles since 2022. He has 339 receptions for 5,034 receiving yards and 32 receiving touchdowns in a Philadelphia uniform, helping the franchise beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

Brown has 8,029 receiving yards and 56 receiving touchdowns in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans and Eagles. He's been heavily linked to the Patriots because Mike Vrabel coached him in Tennessee.
