Eagles' Jalen Carter Makes Hilarious Comment About Ending Fights

The Philadelphia Eagles are currently in a joint practice with the New England Patriots, which is exciting for many reasons.

Not only are the Eagles getting to go up against former superstar wide receiver AJ Brown, who they traded in the offseason, but they get to play a team that they have a legitimate chance of facing in the Super Bowl.

The Patriots are the Super Bowl runners-up, making this a perfect opportunity. On paper, there's still an argument that the Eagles are the better team, but we should get a good feel for how some things look over the next day or so. Regardless, some players are obviously very excited to get back on the field and face a team as talented as New England.

That includes superstar defensive player Jalen Carter, who landed himself a massive payday this offseason.

Carter recently spoke about his attitude heading into these joint practices, which often feature plenty of fights.

“I come out and play my game and have fun and try to bring that little edge to where it can give a boost to the d-line or the whole defense or the whole team, at that,” Jalen Carter said, per NBCS Philly. “If I was to get in any altercations, I don't try to start them. I just finish them. And then I just move on with my day.”

Other players on the Eagles have also been very excited for the opportunity, including quarterback Jalen Hurts, who understands that New England is one of the better teams in the NFL and he wants to put his team up to that test.

“Great competition, new competition,” Hurts said. "That's a really good team. They had a great run last year, so that'll be good for for us to go out there and compete against them.

As I've said, I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock in training camp and joint practices. It's always nice to see what guys are doing, as it gives everybody something to talk about, but it doesn't really mean much at the end of the day.

The Eagles understand that they need to win games, so this is just a place to get better.
