Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is a top-10 QB in rushing ability and decision-making.

Philadelphia Eagles star Jalen Hurts was ranked the sixth-best NFL QB in rushing ability by ESPN's Dan Orlovsky.

Hurts was also No. 10 in decision-making.

We might see Hurts run more this season under new OC Sean Mannion. According to Jalen Carter and Vic Fangio, Hurts has looked faster in camp this year.

"I think Jalen's having a good camp. I think he looks faster," Fangio said. "Obviously we can't touch him during practice so there's always that debate whether you had him or not [for a sack] and I think there's been a few times where our guys think they had him and they really didn't."

"I don't know what it is but when I'm watching and I'm running [after him], it's like a movie, it feels like I'm going slow," Carter said. "He be moving man, he's been working hard and he's the one, for sure."

Hurts finished the 2025 season with 3,224 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. He completed 64.8% of his passes.

Philadelphia won the NFC East last season. However, Hurts and Co. lost to the San Francisco 49ers at home in the wild-card round.

The Eagles signed Hurts to a five-year, $255 million extension in April 2023. However, there is little guaranteed money left on Hurts' deal after the 2026 season.

Hurts enters this season with 17,891 passing yards, 110 passing touchdowns, 3,554 rushing yards and 63 rushing touchdowns in his career. He's made the Pro Bowl three times and won Super Bowl LIX MVP against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hurts has had seven different play callers over six-plus seasons as a pro. It will be fascinating to see how he plays in 2026 with Mannion calling plays.

The Eagles open the 2026 season at home against the Washington Commanders.

"I think he's moving good, and I think he's doing a nice job with the new offense," Fangio said. "A lot has been made about him and all these coordinators he's been with, but it's basically been the same offense every year. This is different, and I think he's done a great job with it."
