Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts was asked by a reporter to talk about the latest rumor about him.

While speaking to local reporters on Thursday, Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts was asked about the new rumor about him.

Eagles sources have leaked to reporters that Hurts has wanted to run the ball less this season.

"If you don’t mind me asking, how did we come to that conclusion or rationalize that?" Hurts said.

After a reporter clarified that there have been reports about him wanting to run the ball less, Hurts said, "I've always been focused on doing whatever it takes to win and I've always put my energy on trying to bring the game plan and the strategy that week to life. So I'll continue to do that."

Hurts has carried the ball 84 times this season. He has 329 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns.

Last season, Hurts carried the rock 150 times for 630 yards and 14 touchdowns.

"We're always thinking about how to protect Jalen and make sure that he is healthy for the long haul," Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said. "Different plans have different reasons of why you run different things, and like I said, we will do everything we need to do to help this offense get rolling.

"Jalen's talented in running the football. He is talented in also holding the backside when he doesn't run the football. So a lot of different ways to do that. Again, always looking at everything and how we can improve."

The Eagles are 8-4 on the season. They are first place in the NFC East.

However, the offense has struggled. Hurts and Co. are 23rd in passing yards, 22nd in rushing yards and 19th in points per game.

The Eagles face the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football. The game is in Los Angeles, which is actually a good thing because Philadelphia fans booed the offense all game long on Black Friday against the Chicago Bears.

Hurts enters the Chargers game with 2,514 passing yards and 19 passing touchdowns. He's completing 66.1% of his passes.
