The Philadelphia Eagles are currently preparing for their Wild Card Round playoff matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, so they probably aren't thinking too much about the offseason right now.
But make no mistake: the wheels are always churning in the mind of Howie Roseman.
The Eagles have some very clear needs to address this offseason, and one particular area of concern is the cornerback position.
Yes, Philadelphia has Quinyon Mitchell, but the other side is definitely a problem.
Taking that into consideration, it would hardly be surprising if Philly took a cornerback in the first round of the NFL Draft, but it's who ESPN's Jordan Reid has the Eagles taking in particular that is pretty surprising: South Carolina's Brandon Cisse.
"Cisse is a long, active corner at 6-foot, 190 pounds. His dependability in press coverage and awareness in zone would allow him to excel in coordinator Vic Fangio's coverage scheme," Reid wrote. "Cisse is a name to watch in the predraft process, as he could be a riser during the offseason circuit."
Reid had Cisse going ahead of Clemson's Avieon Terrell, who has generally been regarded as the superior prospect thus far.

Previously viewed as a Day 2 pick, Cisse has been sneaking into the first round a bit more regularly lately, so perhaps the 20-year-old could be a late riser.
Cisse began his collegiate career at North Carolina State in 2023 and spent two years with the Wolfpack before transferring to South Carolina ahead of 2025.
During his lone season with the Gamecocks, the Sumter, S.C. native registered 27 tackles, an interception and five passes defended.
The numbers were a bit light, but as we all know, that is not always indicative of how good a cornerback actually is, and there is no doubt Cisse displayed stretches of dominance throughout the 2025 campaign.
The Eagles have Cooper DeJean at nickelback, so bringing Cisse into the fray would potentially give them a rather impressive trio.
That being said, Cisse is not exactly a household name, so seeing Philadelphia connected to him with its first-round draft choice is sure to raise some eyebrows.
