The Philadelphia Eagles are sticking with kicker Jake Elliott.

Philadelphia Eagles K Jake Elliott is having a tough season. The two-time Super Bowl champion and one-time Pro Bowler is 17/24.

Elliott went 0/2 against the Washington Commanders in Week 16, but Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is sticking with the veteran.

"I think Jake always has a great process going in and the week of work leading up to it," Sirianni said. "I think it's always important that everybody needs to know they're loved and appreciated. My love and appreciation for Jake isn't just when you guys ask me questions about it, but also in times like this, you want to make sure you reconfirm those things.

"He's had such a great career with so many highs, but like any player, he's had some moments of struggle as well, and all I've ever seen him do was get up out of that and rise from that. I know he went through some struggles last year and ended up having however many field goals and extra points in the Super Bowl and in the NFC championship game. So I have no doubt in my mind of the competitor he is and the way and how mentally tough he is to be able to rise from this situation as well."

Elliott is 26/27 in the playoffs, so he's proven to be a clutch kicker for the Eagles, who won the Super Bowl last season against the Kansas City Chiefs.

"I understand it's a production-based business," Elliott said. "You see it all the time. So, that's out of my hands. That's out of my control. All I can do is kind of put my head down and keep pushing."

The Eagles clinched the NFC East by beating the Commanders. They have two games left in the regular season against the Buffalo Bills and Commanders.

Philly would take on a big cap hit if the front office moved on from Elliott this offseason ($10.9 million in dead money with no cap relief). Let's see what happens moving forward.
