The Eagles' offseason addition will eventually get on the field.

One important thing I think most Philadelphia Eagles fans need to remember is that there are going to be some growing pains with this offense.

For an Eagles team that has a ton of talent on the offensive side of things, there's no reason to be too worried about guys not getting the football this early on. However, after moving on from A.J. Brown, there's certainly hope that the Eagles can replace Brown in the aggregate.

Whether that ends up being the case remains to be seen, though Philadelphia has to hope over the next couple of weeks that multiple guys step up.

DeVonta Smith has already shown that he can be one of the best in the world over the past couple of years, and Dontayvion Wicks played well with 73 yards and one touchdown.

As for Hollywood Brown, whom the Eagles decided to take a flyer on this offseason, he didn't even play a snap in Week 1. Speaking to reporters, head coach Nick Sirianni admitted he wants to get him in the game, but it didn't work out on Sunday.

“We obviously want to get him into the football game because his speed is real. It just didn’t work out that way yesterday. There are games like that. There are games where you get shut out on catches. Unfortunately, there are games, they get shut out on reps,” Sirianni said of Brown, H/T Heavy.

“But we know that Hollywood can help us win football games, and his speed is real, and, quite frankly, just from my end, we want to get him into the football game, right? And so, you know, we’ll make a better effort to do that next time, ‘cause I know the playmaking ability that he can bring with his speed. … I do want to see him in that football game and getting reps and contributing to this football team.”

The Eagles took a flyer on Brown, so it isn't a big deal if his production isn't anywhere near what fans hoped for entering the season.

However, he is the type of guy who could make a decent-sized impact if he's right. The only problem is that he's dealt with multiple injuries over the past couple of seasons and hasn't exactly been a star.
