Eagles' Offense Will Be Top in NFL For This One Factor

There's a lot we have to consider with the Philadelphia Eagles next season, and, of course, given how poorly they looked last year, the offense will be the topic of conversation. Until Jalen Hurts and the rest of the offense show that they can be as good as everybody expects them to be, there are going to be plenty of questions about how things will look, especially with the loss of AJ Brown.

It's always tough to get a feel for how things will go after a star player ends up leaving, as the Eagles decided it was best to move on from Brown in a trade with the New England Patriots. DeVonta Smith will have to be the guy who steps up in a massive way, and I have full confidence in him doing so. There are other problems on the offensive side of the football, though.

One of those problems is not the offensive line, however, as Philadelphia expects to be one of the best in the league up front once again. Recently, looking at that, it's now believed that the offensive line is going to be the reason why the Eagles get back to the top of the football world.

“An Eagles offensive line that brings back every starter looks healthy and has bought into the shift toward more wide zone blocking concepts under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. Five-time All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson was thrilled about having guard help on certain blocks for the first time in his career.

“He even grinned, gave the “OK” sign and said, “Me likey!” Center Cam Jurgens (back) and left guard Landon Dickerson (knee) did not miss any time in OTAs and minicamp after traveling to Colombia for offseason stem cell treatment. The health and confidence of what’s arguably been the team’s strongest and most tenured unit during its golden era is a good early sign that the Eagles could be headed toward a much-needed offensive resurgence,” Brooks Kubena wrote.

I'm certainly not surprised to hear that the Eagles feel confident in what they have up front. This has been an organization that's done a really good job building in the most important areas over the past few seasons.

The offensive line will need to do its best as well, because Barkley and Jalen Hurts need help up front to be the players they're looking to be, which could make the Eagles' offense much improved from a year ago if things go as planned.
