This won't make Philadelphia Eagles fans happy.
The Philadelphia Eagles have been predicted to have the same record as the rival Dallas Cowboys in 2026 by NFL analyst Moe Moton of Bleacher Report.
Moton believes the Eagles and Cowboys will go 10-7 this season.
"With new offensive play-caller Sean Mannion, quarterback Jalen Hurts must adjust to a new-look receiver group after the team traded A.J. Brown," Moton wrote. "He'll likely rely on DeVonta Smith while building a rapport with rookie first-rounder Makai Lemon, Dontayvion Wicks and Hollywood Brown. Philadelphia's passing attack may be less explosive without Brown, but running back Saquon Barkley and a stingy defense can get this team some wins until the offense figures itself out."
Philadelphia won the NFC East last season but lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the wild-card round of the playoffs at home. 2023 was the last time the Cowboys had a better record than the Eagles.
It was a very busy offseason for the Eagles, who traded Brown to the New England Patriots, acquired Wicks from the Green Bay Packers, traded up for Lemon on Day 1 of this year's draft, signed Brown in free agency and acquired Jonathan Greenard from the Minnesota Vikings.
The Eagles also signed Jalen Carter to a massive extension.
The QB spot is the most important position in the NFL, so if Hurts plays well this season, the Eagles should be fine without Brown. However, if Hurts struggles, Philadelphia will be in trouble.
Hurts finished the 2025 season with 3,224 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. He completed 64.8% of his passes.
Hurts enters next season with 17,891 passing yards, 110 passing touchdowns, 3,554 rushing yards and 63 rushing touchdowns in his career. He's made the Pro Bowl three times and won Super Bowl LIX MVP.
The Eagles signed Hurts to a five-year, $255 million extension in April 2023. However, there is little guaranteed money left on Hurts' deal after the 2026 season.
Mannion is Hurts' sixth play-caller since Hurts entered the NFL in 2020. Even though Hurts is a Super Bowl MVP, he's under pressure to play well in 2026.
The good news? Mannion is a former NFL QB, so he's bonded with Hurts well.
"Jalen's been awesome," Mannion said. "I really think he can do anything we ask of him. He's accurate. He's a great athlete. He really attacks the fundamentals. That's what's been really fun to watch these last two weeks of Phase 2. He's always wanting more things to work on, wanting more things regarding fundamentals, timing, understanding the scheme. He's hungry for more. Those are the guys that are really fun to work with."
The Eagles open the 2026 season against the Washington Commanders at home.
