The Philadelphia Eagles have pulled off another big trade, this time for pass rusher Jaelan Phillips.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been busy ahead of tomorrow's NFL trade deadline. Howie Roseman has been very aggressive as he looks to improve the roster in an attempt to win a second consecutive Super Bowl.

Already, the Eagles have made trades to acquire cornerback Michael Carter II and cornerback Jaire Alexander. Both of those moves will help shore up a secondary that badly needed help.

However, after those two trades were made, there were still questions about the defenses ability to get to the quarterback. Roseman addressed that concern on Monday morning.

According to a report from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Philadelphia pulled off a trade to acquire star pass rusher Jaelan Phillips from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick.

Phillips was widely expected to be a trade candidate before the deadline. Now, he will join the Eagles' attempt to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

Throughout the nine game he has played this season with the Dolphins, Phillips has recorded 25 total tackles, three sacks, and a fumble recovery. He has totaled 26 sacks throughout his 55-game NFL career.

At 26 years old, Phillips could be a long-term addition for Philadelphia. He still has plenty of room to improve.

Simply being traded to the Eagles could be a big boost for his career.

Being able to make such an impact move in an area of need for a third-round pick is a major win for Philadelphia. Roseman has continually seemed to get the winning side of trades.

Now, the question becomes, are the Eagles done? Could Roseman have more up his sleeve? Might Philadelphia consider trading a player away or adding yet another piece to the puzzle?

Only time will tell, but the deadline is coming up quickly. The rumors surrounding the Eagles are not going to die down. There are still areas that the front office could look to improve.

All of that being said, acquiring Phillips is a big-time win ahead of the deadline. Philadelphia was able to beat out plenty of other teams around the NFL who had been connected to having interest in the talented pass rusher.

It will be interesting to see what kind of impact Phillips is able to make in Vic Fangio's defense throughout the remainder of the 2025 season.
