Eagles Relationships With AJ Brown Believed to Be Better Than Previously Reported

It really didn’t seem like the relationship between AJ Brown and the Philadelphia Eagles was a good one, though some suggest it might not have been as bad as everyone thought.

Brown, undoubtedly one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, can be a bit of a prima donna.

There's absolutely no reason why he did some of the things he did over the past few years in Philadelphia, and even if he was a good guy in the locker room and just did some questionable things here and there, there's no way some players weren't upset about that, and I don't care what anyone says.

However, ESPN recently brought up a fair point, and one that I wasn't considering. If Brown was in the facility as recently as last week, right before the trade happened, the situation between the two sides probably wasn't as bad as it might have seemed.

“The fact that he was in the facility as recently as last week shows that it wasn't a bitter split. Brown remained well-liked among teammates and staff even as things got rocky over the course of a down offensive year.

“Brown made it clear at the beginning of the offseason that he felt the next phase of his career would be best served elsewhere. He exits as arguably the top Eagles receiver of all time while playing a lead role for a team that delivered the city its second Lombardi Trophy,” Tim McManus of ESPN wrote.

Perhaps things were a bit overblown, at least from the media side. Brown didn't seem like a guy many others wanted to be around after the end of his time in Philadelphia, especially with the comments some of his teammates made.

That, again, doesn't mean he was a bad person by any means, but he might not have been the type of player Philadelphia wanted to deal with any longer.

One interesting point here is that McManus thinks he's arguably the best wide receiver in Eagles history, and that's definitely a possibility because of how good he really was.
