The Philadelphia Eagles lost their sixth straight game, falling to the Washington Commanders.

The Philadelphia Eagles have had many issues in the 2026 season, and they didn't get better in Week 8 against the Washington Commanders.

The Eagles have had many injuries throughout the season and were struggling even when they were healthy. In the 27-10 loss to the Commanders, there aren't many positives to take away.

Tanner McKee completed 23 of 34 passes for 212 yards, zero touchdowns, and an interception. He also added 25 yards on four carries on the ground. It wasn't a great game from McKee, but he did connect with Philadelphia's young weapons.

Makai Lemon had six receptions for 57 yards, while Eli Stowers had three receptions for 53 yards. The Eagles will want Lemon and Stowers to continue developing to end their rookie seasons, despite the team struggling.

Elijah Mitchell was the other back Philadelphia relied on, rushing for 34 yards on 11 carries. It was a rough day for the offense, and it will be a challenge for the Eagles to turn things around with so many injuries.

On defense, the Eagles weren't much better, as the Commanders were able to put up a ton of points. Philadelphia did hold Washington out of the end zone on multiple drives, as the Commanders settled for five field-goal attempts, making four of them.

However, they were able to move the ball down the field, as Jayden Daniels completed 16 of 29 passes for 217 yards, a touchdown, and zero interceptions. He also rushed for 23 yards on two carries.

Daniels distributed the ball to different receivers, as Treylon Burks had three receptions for 81 yards, Antonio Williams had five receptions for 54 yards, and Stefon Diggs had three receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown.

They were also effective on the ground, as Rachaad White rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.

Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith Jr. each had a sack for Philadelphia's defense while Zack Baun recovered a fumble, in some of the few bright moments in the loss.

Philadelphia will have another divisional matchup in Week 9 as they take on the New York Giants. With how the season is shaping up, the Eagles could enter rebuild mode if they continue losing games and trade away some of their veterans ahead of the deadline to reset for the 2027 season.
