The Philadelphia Eagles have a strong roster with a realistic chance of winning the Super Bowl this upcoming season.

But if there is one area of uncertainty, it would be at wide receiver. DeVonta Smith is great, but the rest of the depth chart is questionable. Makai Lemon and Dontayvion Wicks have had some hype this offseason, but both are still question marks.

So, adding another wide receiver couldn't hurt. That's why Jimmy Kempski of the Philly Voice presented a trade idea with the New England Patriots that would have Philadelphia acquire 2017 Super Bowl champion WR Mack Hollins in exchange for Andy Dalton.

"Eagles QB Andy Dalton to the Patriots for WR Mack Hollins," Kempski proposed. "... So maybe just go get Hollins? He should be cheap, as he doesn't have a clear role with the Patriots, and he turns 33 in September."

Hollins was a fourth-round draft pick by the Philadelphia Eagles and has bounced around the NFL since his first few seasons with the team.

He is heading into his ninth NFL season, and could come back to Philadelphia as a nice, big-bodied WR who can block and be a factor in the passing game.

He's 6-foot-4, 221 pounds, and would help replace A.J. Brown's size on the offense. Smith, Lemon, Hollywood Brown, Wicks, Darius Cooper, and Elijah Moore can't really replace Brown and his size for the Eagles' offense.

Eli Stowers maybe could factor into the receiving game as a big-bodied target for Jalen Hurts, but adding a veteran WR who can do the dirty work like Hollins would make sense.

It would make for a fun reunion, coming back to Philadelphia after six-plus seasons away from the team that drafted him. Plus, he is still actually a good WR.

Last season for the Patriots, on 65 targets, he caught 46 passes for 550 yards and two touchdowns. The year prior, he had 31 receptions on 50 targets for 278 yards and five TDs.

It's not likely the Patriots would take Dalton for Hollins straight up, as they have a few decent backup QBs and might not even want to trade Hollins, instead looking to move Kayshon Boutte.

But if the Patriots are willing to move Hollins, the Eagles would make sense and could add a draft pick to this proposed trade package to make it work if New England were to balk at Dalton for Hollins straight up.

This is a fascinating trade idea from Kempski, and while it might not totally be realistic, it's the kind of move that could be sneakily important if they were to make it.
