The Philadelphia Eagles were unable to secure a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Philadelphia Eagles dropped their matchup in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars, 19-17.

The Jaguars got on the board first as Trevor Lawrence connected with Parker Washington for a 51-yard touchdown in the first quarter.

Philadelphia tied it up at seven in the second quarter as Will Shipley ran in for a two-yard score to cap off a 13-play, 64-yard drive. The Eagles took the lead before the half, as Jalen Hurts hit Darius Cooper for a 62-yard touchdown.

The second half was ugly for both offenses. Jacksonville made a field goal on their first drive of the second half, the only points either team scored in the quarter.

The Jags and Eagles combined for seven points in the second half, with penalties and mistakes stifling drives. Jacksonville took the lead in the fourth quarter when Lawrence found Washington again for a 27-yard touchdown.

Hurts led Philadelphia downfield for a field goal to take a 17-16 lead with just eight seconds left in the game. However, their special teams unit made a mistake. The Jaguars did not have a timeout, which would have made kicking it through the end zone for a touchback logical for the Eagles.

Instead, Philadelphia allowed Jacksonville to return the kick, and Ameer Abdullah ran 53 yards downfield before going down with one second on the clock. This set up kicker Cam Little for a 57-yard field goal attempt, which he connected on to give the Jaguars a 19-17 victory.

The Eagles made the wrong call by not kicking it for a touchback, and it ultimately cost them a win. Philadelphia is now 2-3 this season, and injuries continue to pile up.

The Eagles were without multiple key players, including Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith. The running back room is facing numerous injuries, with Barkley out, Tank Bigsby on injured reserve, and Will Shipley exiting with a foot injury on Sunday.

That left Dameon Pierce as Philadelphia's primary back, and he rushed for just 14 yards on 11 carries. It was an abysmal performance running the ball, and they weren't much better in the passing attack.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 21 of 40 passes for 220 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. The offense's struggles are partly due to the changing offensive line: Lane Johnson retired, Cam Jurgens was traded, and Drew Kendall was out with an injury.

The Eagles have now lost three straight games, and they will need to get back on track soon to make it into the postseason.
