The Philadelphia Eagles might be in some trouble.

Based on the standings, you would think the Philadelphia Eagles have it all together. They are 4-0, and their last three wins all came against teams that made the playoffs last year. But there is no question that the Eagles have some issues.

For example, Philadelphia did not complete a single pass during the second half of its win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday and almost surrendered a big lead as a result. It's also clear that right now, Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown are not on the same page.

That's why Saad Yousuf of The Athletic can't quite get fully behind the Eagles just yet in spite of their gaudy undefeated record, ranking them second behind the Buffalo Bills when it comes to Super Bowl contenders.

"I’m kind of going against my own standard for this space because this is not a power ranking so the Eagles being 4-0 is just one factor," Yousuf wrote. "Overall, it feels like a few teams from the NFC look more equipped to win the Super Bowl right now but the defending champs have earned the right for some more patience. However, having the 31st-ranked passing offense and 30th-ranked offense overall is not a recipe for sustained success."

Philadelphia's aerial attack has been so putrid that Brown hinted at wanting out after the team's Week 4 win. He cleared things up with reporters this week, but it isn't exactly a great sign when your top receiver is making veiled threats in the middle of the season.

On the bright side, Philly hasn't lost a game yet, so if and when its offense does come together, look out. But the question is, will that actually happen?

It's not just the passing game, either. Saquon Barkley — who racked up over 2,000 rushing yards last season — is averaging just 3.1 yards per carry. Plus, new offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo doesn't seem to be quite as innovative as Kellen Moore.

And if we are being honest, the Eagles are a ridiculous blocked field goal away from being 3-1, so perhaps there is more reason for concern than we think.

Philadelphia will face another tough team this Sunday when it hosts the Denver Broncos.
