Jalen Hurts Receives Strong Praise From Philadelphia Eagles QB Coach

Philadelphia Eagles QB coach Parks Frazier loves working with Jalen Hurts.

Philadelphia Eagles QB coach Parks Frazier has worked with several QBs.

However, he's never been around someone like Jalen Hurts.

"He is dedicated to winning and wants to do whatever it takes to win more than any quarterback that I've been around," Frazier said, via Eagles.com. "He is phenomenal in the room, asks really good questions. Always wanted more. He's a sponge so he's been great."

Hurts finished the 2025 season with 3,224 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. He completed 64.8% of his passes.

The Eagles won the NFC East again. However, they lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the 2026 playoffs' wild-card round at home.

Hurts enters next season with 17,891 passing yards, 110 passing touchdowns, 3,554 rushing yards and 63 rushing touchdowns in his career. He's made the Pro Bowl three times and won Super Bowl LIX MVP.

"We focus on where we're headed, not necessarily where things have been," Frazier said. "I've had the opportunity to work with a lot of different quarterbacks and seen a lot of different ways to do it. And so you just kind of focus on, 'okay, this is where we're going to head, this is how we're going to get there.' And then you work together to help with that."

Frazier isn't the only one impressed with Hurts. New Eagles OC Sean Mannion has connected well with Hurts too.

Mannion is a former NFL QB, so he can relate to Hurts on many levels.

"Jalen's been awesome," Mannion said. "I really think he can do anything we ask of him. He's accurate. He's a great athlete. He really attacks the fundamentals. That's what's been really fun to watch these last two weeks of Phase 2. He's always wanting more things to work on, wanting more things regarding fundamentals, timing, understanding the scheme. He's hungry for more. Those are the guys that are really fun to work with."

The Eagles signed Hurts to a five-year, $255 million extension in April 2023. However, there is little guaranteed money left on Hurts' deal after the 2026 season.

Even though Hurts has a Super Bowl MVP, he's under pressure to play well in 2026. Let's see how he does with A.J. Brown gone.
