Maxx Crosby Might Want to Play for Philadelphia Eagles cover image

Could Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby prefer to be traded to the Philadelphia Eagles?

The Philadelphia Eagles are searching for answers after a miserable second half of 2025 that ended in a tough Wild Card Round playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

While A.J. Brown's future in Philadelphia may be the biggest storyline surrounding the Eagles heading into the offseason, Philly will also need to make some roster moves.

For example, the Eagles could certainly use another pass rusher, especially with the oft-injured Jaelan Phillips hitting free agency.

Philadelphia may not be major players on the open market, but it's entirely possible that the Eagles could consider a trade, and one potential target has emerged for them: Las Vegas Raiders superstar Maxx Crosby.

Crosby and the Raiders may end up going their separate ways in the coming months, and Philadelphia has already been tabbed as a potential landing spot.

Not only that, but during an episode of Crosby's "The Rush" podcast back in December, Crosby revealed his affinity for the City of Brotherly Love.

"I lowkey never do this, but I was driving into Philly, and this is the first time I’ve ever played in Philly, so that’s why I took some pictures; was driving in there, trees just all white and fans everywhere in the tailgate,” Crosby said. “You can see the stadium behind it. I took a couple dope pictures because this is like my first time every playing there. If you love football, that’s what you dream of as a kid, playing in Philadelphia in December in a grimy environment. That is exactly what you dream of, so I loved it.”

While Crosby obviously did not come right out and say "I would love to play for the Eagles," you get the sense that the five-time Pro Bowler would definitely embrace the possibility of being traded to Philadelphia.

Crosby racked up 73 tackles and 10 sacks in 15 games this past season. He did undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus last month, but he is expected to be ready for the start of 2026.

Of course, Crosby would not come cheap. The Eagles would almost certainly have to part with their first-round draft pick and then some to catch the Raiders' attention, and they would also be competing with other teams for his services, as well.

If Philadelphia is actually able to swing a deal for Crosby this offseason, it would certainly change a whole lot for the squad heading into next year.
