The Philadelphia Eagles aren't getting a lot of faith placed in them entering Week 6.

The Philadelphia Eagles have seen better days, with the team now having lost three straight games entering Week 6 of the NFL season.

Philadelphia dropped a heartbreaker this past week to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, with the team completely falling apart in the last few seconds. After battling all game, the Eagles took the lead with just eight seconds left on the clock.

But the special teams of the Eagles couldn't hold the lead, allowing the Jaguars to get upfield enough to kick the game-winning field goal. This sent the Eagles back home feeling very down on themselves, but the team will now look ahead to Week 6, when they host the Carolina Panthers.

Carolina will be coming off a bye week, giving them a chance to get some rest. Philadelphia will need to make sure that they execute better against the Panthers; otherwise, this team could drop its fourth straight game.

And NFL analyst John Breech of CBS Sports believes that the Eagles will indeed lose this game to the Panthers. Part of the reasoning was due to the offensive struggles that Philadelphia has seen, mixed with all the injuries that have taken place.

The Eagles were without star running back Saquon Barkley and star wide receiver DeVonta Smith against the Jaguars, limiting what the team could do. The status for the Panthers matchup of each player remains to be seen, but if they can't give it a go, Philadelphia could be in some trouble.

The Panthers have one of the best offenses in the NFL, with their passing game coming in ranked No. 2 in the league. So, there will be a major emphasis on the Eagles defense to come through this week against Carolina.

The Eagles secondary will be tasked with slowing down the Panthers wide receivers, namely star Tetairoa McMillan. McMillan put up 14 catches for 192 yards and two touchdowns for the Panthers in their last game, putting the entire league on notice.

If the Eagles want to avoid dropping another game, the defense may have to win the contest for this team. Philadelphia's offense has sputtered, even before the injuries, and this could be a cause for concern entering the game with the Panthers.

But this is a veteran group, and the performance against he Jaguars has to be inspiring, even in the loss. However, if the Eagles aren't careful, they could easily fall to 2-4 on the season.
