NFL analyst Pete Prisco of CBS Sports believes there are 16 QBs better than Philadelphia Eagles star Jalen Hurts.

Prisco ranked Matthew Stafford, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott, Jordan Love, Jared Goff, Drake Maye, Justin Herbert, Trevor Lawrence, Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams, Sam Darnold, Brock Purdy and Baker Mayfield ahead of Hurts.

"After leading the Eagles to a Super Bowl victory the year before, Hurts saw his play decline some last season," Prisco wrote. "But he did throw a career-best 25 touchdown passes. He wasn't as effective running the ball as he had been in previous seasons."

Hurts finished the 2025 season with 3,224 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. He completed 64.8% of his passes.

The Eagles won the NFC East again. However, they lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the 2026 playoffs' wild-card round at home.

Hurts enters next season with 17,891 passing yards, 110 passing touchdowns, 3,554 rushing yards and 63 rushing touchdowns in his career. He's made the Pro Bowl three times and won Super Bowl LIX MVP.

The Eagles signed Hurts to a five-year, $255 million extension in April 2023. However, there is little guaranteed money left on Hurts' deal after the 2026 season.

Even though Hurts has a Super Bowl MVP, he's under pressure to play well in 2026. Let's see how he does with A.J. Brown gone.

"He is dedicated to winning and wants to do whatever it takes to win more than any quarterback that I've been around," Eagles QB coach Parks Frazier said about Hurts, via Eagles.com. "He is phenomenal in the room, asks really good questions. Always wanted more. He's a sponge so he's been great."

"Jalen's been awesome," new Eagles OC Sean Mannion said about Hurts. "I really think he can do anything we ask of him. He's accurate. He's a great athlete. He really attacks the fundamentals. That's what's been really fun to watch these last two weeks of Phase 2. He's always wanting more things to work on, wanting more things regarding fundamentals, timing, understanding the scheme. He's hungry for more. Those are the guys that are really fun to work with."
