People around the NFL think the Philadelphia Eagles could make a huge trade in the offseason.

According to NFL insider Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, NFL executives believe the Philadelphia Eagles could look to trade WR A.J. Brown this offseason.

Brown hasn't been happy in Philadelphia this season because of how poorly the offense has performed and the Pro Bowler has been open about how frustrated he's been.

"I have several candidates, but let's start with A.J. Brown," Fowler wrote. "The weekly concerns about Brown's messaging -- from sonnets to soundbites -- must be taxing on Philadelphia's locker room, even if players understand the receiver's frustration due to the limitations of the Eagles' passing attack. Several executives I spoke to believe the Eagles could look to move Brown, who's 28 and still has prime years left.

"He would undoubtedly have a market. He's due $50 million in cash over the next two years, which is manageable for a WR1. The Eagles would absorb a $20 million cap hit if he's traded before June 1, or they could save $7 million on the cap by waiting until after June 1 to deal him. Either way, the Eagles have shown cap challenges won't deter them (see: the Carson Wentz trade). And it seems that Brown would welcome a new passing game at this point."

Brown has 64 catches for 840 yards and seven touchdowns this season. Although the Eagles are 9-5, their offense is 18th in the NFL in points per game, averaging only 22.9 points per game.

Philadelphia is also 22nd in passing yards.

The Eagles acquired Brown from the Tennessee Titans in 2022. Brown helped Philadelphia win the Super Bowl last season against the Kansas City Chiefs, but for whatever reason, the Eagles' offense hasn't been explosive in 2025.

It will be fascinating to see if Brown is traded this offseason. The 28-year-old doesn't have a no-trade clause in his contract.
