This NFL trade proposal sends a Green Bay Packers wideout to the Philadelphia Eagles.

An NFL trade proposal sending a Green Bay Packers WR to the Philadelphia Eagles has been created.

Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report proposed that the Eagles trade for Packers wideout Dontayvion Wicks this offseason.

Philadelphia hired Green Bay quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion as its new offensive coordinator, so Mannion and Wicks already have a rapport.

"The Eagles don't have a ton of cap space so they might have to get a little creative to swing a trade that improves them," Ballentine wrote. "That being said, Howie Roseman is not a general manager known for sitting on his hands.

"Philadelphia's offense stalled out in key moments this season. Whether they keep A.J. Brown or not, they need more reliable weapons for Jalen Hurts in the passing game. With Sean Mannion coming in as the offensive coordinator, it would make a lot sense for Philadelphia to target a receiver familiar with the coach. The Packers have a ton of depth at receiver and trading Wicks would make sense to clear some cap space and a roster spot.

"The former fifth-round pick has flashed the ability to be a deep threat in the league. He had 581 yards on 39 receptions as a rookie, but his role has dwindled over the last two seasons. That could change in an Eagles offense that needs more options."

Wicks had 30 catches for 332 yards and two touchdowns this season. He was the 159th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Eagles could trade A.J. Brown this offseason, so they may need another WR for QB Jalen Hurts. Wicks has 108 receptions for 1,328 yards and 11 touchdowns in the NFL.

Philadelphia won the Super Bowl last year against the Kansas City Chiefs but lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card round this year. Kevin Patullo was fired as OC after just one season at the helm.

Mannion, who joined the Packers as an offensive assistant in 2024, was promoted to QBs coach ahead of the 2025 season. He appeared in 14 NFL games with the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings from 2015 to 2021.

Mannion has to work well with Hurts, who finished with 3,224 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns this season. Hurts and Patullo didn't have a good relationship.
