Facing questions and average production, Philadelphia’s head coach knows something has to change.

Over the past 13 months, it really doesn't feel like the Philadelphia Eagles have anything to show on the offensive side of the football.

There have been times, obviously, when the talent has taken over and Philadelphia's offense has been above average, but for most of the past 13 months, there just hasn't been enough to suggest this Eagles team is any good on offense.

A lot has to change over the next couple of months for this team to become what it wants to be, and it all starts on defense. There have been some defensive problems as well, but for the most part, we all know what to expect from Philadelphia in that regard.

Offensively, one problem the Eagles have continued to face is their offensive coordinator. Kevin Patullo was brutal a season ago, and now with Sean Mannion in the mix, it was always going to take some time to figure things out.

Head coach Nick Sirianni recently spoke about that, though, suggesting that at this point, Philadelphia has had more than enough time to get a feel for what this offense actually is.

“It’s a good, healthy sample size right now, but I don't think we really know our identity of what we want to be or where we're going,” he said, per NBCS Philly.

“We know what we need to be able to do, but there's still some identity questions that we still have to continue to answer as we continue through this. … We’ve got to be able to do multiple things, and that's what we're doing and we're trying to figure out right now.”

I'm not ready to press the panic button just yet, and a lot of that is because Philadelphia has dealt with injuries on the offensive side.

If we can get a full game with Saquon Barkley and the offensive line healthy, and the offense still looks this poor, that's where I might have a bit of an issue. Until then, however, I think we need to give the offense some grace.

At the same time, it's already Week 5, so there isn't much time left to figure some things out. It can get late very early.
