The Philadelphia Eagles have a new OC after parting ways with Kevin Patullo.

The Philadelphia Eagles are hiring Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion as their new offensive coordinator.

Mannion, who joined the Packers as an offensive assistant in 2024, was promoted to QBs coach ahead of this season. He appeared in 14 NFL games with the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings from 2015 to 2021.

"I'm thrilled to have Sean Mannion on board as the new offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles," Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said. "My goal throughout this process was to operate with an open mind regarding the future of our offense to find the best fit for the Eagles. Over the last few weeks, I had an opportunity to meet with a number of talented candidates and great offensive minds. I am appreciative of the time I was able to spend with each of them. Some came with years of experience running an offense and calling plays. Others were young, sharp, and dynamic coaches on the rise. I felt it was important to be patient and thorough to allow the right fit to reveal himself to us. Sean did just that.

"It was quickly apparent in meeting with Sean that he is a bright young coach with a tremendous future ahead of him in this league. I was impressed by his systematic views on offensive football and his strategic approach. Sean's 11 years in the NFL have provided him a great opportunity to learn from and grow alongside some of the best coaches in the game. As a result, he has a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be invaluable to our team moving forward. I can't wait to see Sean with our team, and I want to welcome him and his wife, Megan, to the Eagles family."

The Eagles have a lot of talented offensive players, headlined by QB Jalen Hurts, RB Saquon Barkley and WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. However, under Kevin Patullo, the offense was below average in 2025, which is why Patullo was fired after just one season as the OC.

This season under Patullo, scoring dropped from 27.2 (ranked seventh) to 22.3 (19th) points per game; offensive efficiency dipped from fourth best in the league to 19th; and the rushing attack plummeted from 179 yards per game (2nd) to 116.9 (18th).

The Eagles, who won the Super Bowl last season with Kellen Moore calling plays, won the NFC East this season but lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card game at home. It will be fascinating to see how Mannion does next season.

Mannion has to work well with Hurts, who finished with 3,224 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns this season. Hurts and Patullo didn't have a good relationship.

Hurts and Brown also weren't on the same page. Brown had 78 catches for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns in the regular season. The WR had two drops in the 49ers game, tying a career high, and declined to speak to the media postgame.

Brown has been with the Eagles since 2022. He has 339 receptions for 5,034 yards and 32 touchdowns in a Philadelphia uniform.

Eagles GM Howie Roseman said this about Brown during his season-ending press conference: "It's hard to find great players in the NFL and A.J.'s a great player. That's what we're going out and looking for when we go out in free agency and the Draft is trying to find great players who love football and he's that guy. So that would be my answer."
