The Philadelphia Eagles are 6-2 and are definitely one of the best teams in football. They are well-positioned to defend their Super Bowl championship, and in spite of all the drama they've experienced this year, they have managed to beat some very strong opponents thus far in 2025.
However, the A.J. Brown stuff just isn't going away.
Brown has clearly not been thrilled in Philadelphia this year, and it has led to speculation that the Eagles could potentially move him by the trade deadline.
It doesn't seem like general manager Howie Roseman is all that interested in doing that, but Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia does wonder what the future holds for Brown in the City of Brotherly Love.
"Hey, Brown is not a bad guy. This isn’t T.O. (Terrell Owens) here. This is a dude who plays hard whether he’s running a route or blocking and has never gotten into trouble off the field," Frank wrote. "But the constant drama is just silly and unnecessary. Brown isn’t getting traded this year, but if it doesn’t stop I wonder when it will just be too much for the Eagles to deal with."

Brown signed a three-year, $96 million contract extension with Philadelphia last year, a deal that will take him through 2029. But based on how the 28-year-old has acted in 2025, it's looking less and less like he will play out the rest of his pact.
Could Philly ultimately trade him after the season? It's entirely possible. Roseman would not be afraid to make such a move, especially if the Eagles aren't able to make it back to the Super Bowl this winter.
There would be no shortage of suitors if Brown did hit the trade market, as when healthy, he is one of the most dynamic weapons in all of football.
Brown missed Week 8 due to a hamstring injury (the Eagles had a Week 9 bye), but in the seven games he has played this year, he has logged 29 catches for 395 yards and three touchdowns. Those aren't the sort of numbers we have become accustomed to seeing from the three-time Pro Bowler.
Philadelphia initially landed Brown in a trade with the Tennessee Titans back in April 2022. He proceeded to post back-to-back 1,400-yard campaigns in his first two seasons in Philly and then caught 67 passes for 1,079 yards and seven scores in 2024.
