The Philadelphia Eagles definitely need to make some changes this offseason after going just 7-7 to close out the 2025-26 campaign, and while offense was the biggest issue for the Eagles this past season, they have some holes defensively, as well.
One of the biggest problems for Philadelphia is its pass rush, and with Jaelan Phillips headed toward free agency, the Eagles may need to find a replacement.
Bleacher Report's Moe Moton has pitched a blockbuster trade idea for Philadelphia in that regard, urging Philly to acquire Green Bay Packers edge rusher Rashan Gary.
"Based on general manager Howie Roseman's tendency to stock up on offensive and defensive linemen, he could be aggressive in an attempt to add a veteran pass-rusher. Don't be surprised if Rashan Gary is on his radar," Moton wrote.
The Packers acquired Micah Parsons in a league-altering trade with the Dallas Cowboys shortly before the start of last season, so they may wish to recoup some draft capital by jettisoning Gary, who struggled during the second half of 2025.
"If the Packers aren't willing to work with Gary on a new deal, Roseman may be one of several general managers to make an offer for him," Moton added.

However, all of his sacks came before Week 9, and he only logged seven quarterback hits over his last nine games.
Such has been the case for Gary throughout his career in Green Bay. While he has been a solid player, he has never quite lived up to his initial expectations.
The University of Michigan product was selected by the Packers with the 12th overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft and has never posted a double-digit sack campaign, topping out at 9.5 sacks back in 2021.
Regardless, Gary has still been productive, and the Eagles need pass-rushing help anywhere they can get it.
Gary has two years remaining on the four-year, $96 million extension he signed with Green Bay back in October 2023, so given his financial price tag, Philadelphia may not have to surrender anything more than a Day 3 pick to land him.
It would be a risky move for the Eagles, but it could be one Roseman would be interesting in attempting.
