
If the Philadelphia Eagles trade A.J. Brown, here is where he could land.
The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to trade WR A.J. Brown after June 1. The Eagles would absorb a dead cap hit of over $40 million if they trade Brown before June 1, compared with less than $20 million in dead cap if a trade is consummated after that date.
Brown and the Eagles agreed to a three-year, $96 million extension in April 2024. The Super Bowl champion has no guaranteed money on his current deal after 2026.
So, who will the Eagles trade Brown to? NFL analyst Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report believes the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots are possible trade partners.
Brown had 78 catches for 1,003 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns last season. He and QB Jalen Hurts weren't on the same page and multiple reports have stated that the two stars are no longer close.
A three-time Pro Bowler, Brown has been with the Eagles since 2022. He has 339 receptions for 5,034 receiving yards and 32 receiving touchdowns in a Philadelphia uniform, helping the franchise beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
During the Eagles' 2026 wild-card round loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Nick Sirianni and Brown got into a heated sideline exchange. Philadelphia lost to San Francisco by a final score of 23-19. Brown had two drops, tying a career high, and declined to speak to the media postgame.
Brown finished the Eagles-49ers game with three catches for 25 yards on seven targets. Philadelphia fans booed him after his second drop in the fourth quarter.
Brown has 8,029 receiving yards and 56 receiving touchdowns in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans and Eagles. It will be fascinating to see where he's playing next season. He's been heavily linked to the Patriots since Mike Vrabel coached Brown in Tennessee.
Brown doesn't have a no-trade clause, so he can't pick where the Eagles trade him.
