The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off another season in which they played well, but it didn’t end as well as most had hoped.

The Eagles' talent is still some of the best in the NFL, but there’s always a need for more, especially with how bad the offense looked this past season. Many believe the Eagles will go with a defensive player in the draft, but Howie Roseman is great at what he does, so if he believes an offensive guy would help, that’s what he’ll do.

FanSided’s Cody Williams projected that the Eagles would use the No. 23 overall pick on Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq, adding that young offensive talent is something the Eagles need.

“Despite what Howie Roseman and the Eagles front office is saying publicly, there are two things I believe about this offense moving forward.

“First is that veteran tight end Dallas Goedert is likely going to be allowed to test the open market, and second is that A.J. Brown won't be in Philly next year. That means the passing attack needs more targets, and Kenyon Sadiq can be that. Some have wanted the physical and athletic marvel to be more potent for Oregon in his career given what he's capable of at his size, but the tools are too good for a team in the Eagles' position to pass up,” he wrote.

That’s the right take, but there are questions, mainly centered around the idea of Brown no longer being in Philadelphia, but it brings up a possibility that some are expecting.

Regarding Dallas Goedert, he’s been a nice presence in the offense for a long time, but he’s getting older and replacing him would be a wise decision.

At Oregon, he was very good in an electric offense and showed that he has the ability to figure it out at the highest level. For an Eagles’ offense that will look a lot different next season after moving on from Kevin Patull, it can use all the help it can get.

When the Eagles see a physical player at a premium position and believe there’s something there, Roseman is usually smart enough to make the pick.
