The Philadelphia Eagles could start the 2026 NFL season on fire.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been predicted to start the 2026 NFL season "hot."

NFL analyst Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report thinks the Eagles could begin next season 3-1.

Nick Sirianni's group will face the Washington Commanders, Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams, Jacksonville Jaguars, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Commanders, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Seahawks, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers and Giants next season.

"Quarterback Jalen Hurts and the Eagles have to be relatively happy with how the early portion of the schedule shook out," Davenport wrote. "Yes, the Eagles face a pair of stout opponents in Weeks 3 and 4 when they head to Soldier Field to take on the Bears and host the Rams. But if they can split that pair the Eagles should be looking at 3-1 given that they open at home against the Washington Commanders before traveling to Tennessee in Week 2."

The Eagles went 11-6 last season and won the NFC East again. However, they lost to the 49ers at home in the wild-card round of the 2026 playoffs.

Philadelphia is expected to trade A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots in June. According to NFL insider Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Jalen Hurts and new OC Sean Mannion "have hit it off" and Hurts has been "throwing offsite" with some Eagles receivers. That group doesn't include Brown.

"I'm hearing the two have hit it off, and Jalen Hurts likes how Sean Mannion structures the offense, how he talks about how they're going to attack things because it's going to look different," Fowler said on SportsCenter, via Bleacher Report. "It's going to be more under center for Jalen Hurts, more play-action than he had done in the past. So, our sources have told us that he's at times been reluctant to some of those changes but right he's as open as he's ever been to some of those. He's also been throwing offsite with some of his receivers, DeVonta Smith, who's his new No. 1, new veteran Elijah Moore. He's been getting after it, trying to get ready for this new offense. Eagles are going to look a lot different in 2026."

Hurts enters next season with 17,891 passing yards, 110 passing touchdowns, 3,554 rushing yards and 63 rushing touchdowns in his career. He's made the Pro Bowl three times and won Super Bowl LIX MVP.

The Eagles signed Hurts to a five-year, $255 million extension in April 2023. However, there is little guaranteed money left on Hurts' deal after the 2026 season.

With that said, Hurts is under pressure to play like an MVP in 2026.
