The Philadelphia Eagles' top OC candidates have been revealed by an NFL insider.

According to NFL insider Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Philadelphia Eagles have begun reaching out to candidates regarding their offensive coordinator vacancy.

Former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel and former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll are at the top of their list.

McDaniel was fired by the Dolphins after their season ended, while Daboll was fired during the season.

The Eagles need a new OC after parting ways with Kevin Patullo.

Philadelphia won the Super Bowl last season with Kellen Moore calling plays. This season, scoring dropped from 27.2 (ranked seventh) to 22.3 (19th) points per game; offensive efficiency dipped from fourth best in the league to 19th; and the rushing attack plummeted from 179 yards per game (2nd) to 116.9 (18th).

QB Jalen Hurts finished with 3,224 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns in the regular season, but the Eagles were 19th in points per game under Patullo. They were seventh in scoring last season under Moore and won the Super Bowl against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

It will be fascinating to see who the Eagles hire as their new OC. The front office should keep Hurts involved in the process.

"My line is always open," Hurts said after the season.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was the individual who announced that Patullo is no longer the Eagles' OC.

It must have been difficult since Sirianni and Patullo are close friends.

"I have decided to make a change at offensive coordinator," Sirianni said in a statement. "I met with Kevin today to discuss the difficult decision, as he is a great coach who has my utmost respect. He has been integral to this team's success over the last five years, not only to the on-field product but behind the scenes as a valued leader for our players and organization. I have no doubt he will continue to have a successful coaching career. Ultimately, when we fall short of our goals that responsibility lies on my shoulders."

In a strange turn of events, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Sirianni is open to keeping Patullo on his staff in a different role.

We'll see if that's actually true.
