It was a disappointing 2025 season for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Even though the Eagles won the NFC East again, their offense was below average under OC Kevin Patullo and they lost to the San Francisco 49ers at home in the Wild Card Round.
So what is Philadelphia's top offseason priority? NFL writer Moe Moton of Bleacher Report believes it's taking the best trade package for WR A.J. Brown.
During the Eagles' Wild Card Round loss to the 49ers, Nick Sirianni and Brown got into a heated sideline exchange.
The Eagles lost to the 49ers at home by a final score of 23-19. Brown had two drops, tying a career high, and declined to speak to the media postgame.
Sirianni not only downplayed the spat with Brown, but he also defended the polarizing WR.
"I think he knows how I feel about him," Sirianni said about Brown. "I have a special relationship with him. We've probably [gone] through every emotion you can possibly have together. We've laughed together. We've cried together. We've yelled at each other. We're both emotional. I was trying to get him off the field, and that happens in this game. That happens in this game, but I love him."
Brown finished the Eagles-49ers game with three catches for 25 yards on seven targets. He was booed by Philadelphia fans after his second drop in the fourth quarter.
"He's got the best hands I've ever seen," Sirianni said about Brown. "The way he catches the ball, the amount of different types of catches that he's made. When you get as many targets as he does, you're going to have some drops. I know he will beat himself up on that."
Many people who cover the NFL believe the Eagles should trade Brown this offseason. Brown had 78 catches for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns in the regular season. He and QB Jalen Hurts weren't on the same page at all.
Brown has been with the Eagles since 2022. He has 339 receptions for 5,034 yards and 32 touchdowns in a Philadelphia uniform.
It will be interesting to see if the Eagles trade Brown this offseason. They need to hire a new OC first after parting ways with Patullo.
