The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired a wide receiver from the Green Bay Packers.
The Philadelphia Eagles have traded a 2025 fifth-round pick and a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Green Bay Packers for wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks.
The Eagles have also inked Wicks to a one-year, $12.5 million extension. Wicks will now be under contract, tying him to the team through the 2027 season.
The 24-year-old receiver has been a solid contributor for the Packers' offense since he was drafted in the fifth round in 2023.
In his rookie campaign, Wicks finished with 39 receptions for 581 yards and four touchdowns. He followed that up in 2024 with 39 receptions for 415 yards and five touchdowns. In the 2025 season, Wicks hauled in 30 receptions for 332 yards and two touchdowns.
The wide receiver position was a need for the Eagles, regardless of whether AJ Brown is on the team in 2026.
Brown has been in trade rumors throughout the offseason, but as of now, he will be on the roster. In the 2025 season, Brown had 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns.
Philadelphia has depth and plenty of weapons for Jalen Hurts to throw the ball to downfield. With Brown and Devonta Smith as their stars, they have added Hollywood Brown and Wicks as solid pass catchers.
Smith was also productive in 2025, catching 77 passes for 1,008 yards and four touchdowns.
Brown comes over from the Kansas City Chiefs, where he had 49 receptions for 587 yards and five touchdowns.
Jerome Miron-Imagn ImagesThe Eagles were also able to bring back tight end Dallas Goedert on a one-year, $7 million deal in free agency, creating an elite offense.
With Saquon Barkley as their star running back and elite pass catchers, Philadelphia's offense is set up for a ton of success.
It will come down to Hurts and the offensive line playing at a high level. The Eagles won the Super Bowl in 2025 and have the talent to do so again, but they will need more consistency from their offense.
General manager Howie Roseman has been aggressive in adding more weapons, and the trade for Wicks is pivotal, especially if Brown is later moved this offseason.
