Philadelphia Eagles Urged to Pair Jonathan Greenard With Von Miller

The Philadelphia Eagles made a big trade this offseason with the Minnesota Vikings, acquiring Jonathan Greenard.

The Eagles sent two third-round picks -- the No. 98 selection in this year's draft and a third-rounder next year -- to the Vikings for Greenard, who then agreed to a four-year, $100 million extension with Philadelphia.

Now, the Eagles have been urged to pair Greenard with future Hall of Famer Von Miller.

NFL analyst Moe Moton of Bleacher Report believes Philadelphia should sign Miller, who was coached by Vic Fangio on the Denver Broncos.

"Miller can provide a much-needed pass-rushing boost and be a closer on the edge in Philadelphia," Moton wrote.

Miller played for the Washington Commanders last season. He put up nine sacks, 16 solo tackles, six tackles for loss and 15 QB hits.

The Eagles' defense finished fifth in the NFL in scoring defense last season, giving up only 19.1 points per game. Philadelphia's 56.8% completion percentage allowed led the league, while its 75.4 passer rating ranked second.

Miller isn't the superstar he used to be, but he's still an effective pass rusher. Adding Miller alongside Greenard and Jalen Carter would make the Eagles' defense even stouter.

The Eagles open the 2026 season against the Commanders. Miller said he chose the wrong team before training camp last offseason. He picked the Commanders over the Seattle Seahawks last summer.

There haven't been any reports linking Miller to the Eagles, but that could change, especially since Fangio and Miller worked together in Denver.

The Eagles won the NFC East again last season. However, they lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card Round of the 2026 NFL playoffs. Philadelphia failed to defend its Super Bowl title despite having an elite defense.

Miller is a two-time Super Bowl champion. If he joins the Eagles, he would have a chance to win his third ring.
