Someone inside the Philadelphia Eagles ripped Jalen Hurts.

A source inside the Philadelphia Eagles took a major shot at QB Jalen Hurts.

In a story called "Inside Eagles' 2025 friction as Jalen Hurts stands at crossroads," Tim McManus and Jeremy Fowler of ESPN interviewed more than a dozen sources to pull back the curtain on what's ailing an Eagles offense full of notable talent and Hurts was ripped several times.

"Poor body language, not always bought in, not the most coachable and the players notice," a team source said.

Hurts finished the 2025 season with 3,224 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. He completed 64.8% of his passes.

The Eagles won the NFC East again. However, they lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the 2026 playoffs' wild-card round.

Hurts and WR A.J. Brown used to be best friends. However, that is no longer the case and the Eagles could trade Brown this offseason.

"Brown and Hurts were once considered best friends, but veteran defensive end Brandon Graham suggested in the latter stages of the '24 season that the relationship had frayed. Though both Hurts and Brown downplayed it, a team source said word began circulating within the organization around that time that things 'weren't good' between the two."

Hurts will be coached by Sean Mannion next season. Philadelphia hired the Green Bay Packers QB coach as its new OC after parting ways with Kevin Patullo.

The Eagles signed Hurts to a five-year, $255 million extension in April 2023. There is little guaranteed money left in Hurts' deal after the 2026 season and it would not be unlike Philadelphia to negotiate another contract as soon as possible to stay in front of the ever-booming QB salaries, per ESPN.

"MVP of the Super Bowl 13 months ago, should have been MVP of the Super Bowl right before that against Kansas City the first time. Exceptional. So dedicated," Eagles CEO Jeffrey Lurie said. "I think you probably know, I spend a lot of time with Jalen as I do with most quarterbacks, and he's incredibly dedicated to the game, to winning, and being a huge winner. I love everything about him.

"Those things take, over time, we never would discuss [extension talks]. He's in the middle of a new contract now."

It will be fascinating to see how Hurts and the Eagles perform next season. Hurts is under major pressure to play well despite winning a Super Bowl.
