Do you agree with this ranking for Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni?
NFL analyst Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report believes Nick Sirianni of the Philadelphia Eagles is the sixth-best coach in the NFL.
Davenport has Sirianni ahead of New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel but behind Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton.
The Eagles hired Sirianni in 2021. Sirianni is 59-26 in the regular season and 6-4 in the playoffs with Philadelphia. The franchise has made two Super Bowls under Sirianni, losing during the 2022 season and winning in the 2024 campaign.
Eagles players love playing for Sirianni. Don't believe me? Just ask Jordan Mailata.
"You don't have to like him if you aren't on our team," Mailata said. "We don't care about that. What matters is what we think of him in his locker room, and we love Coach Nick. He has done the right things for us, and we have won football games, won a Championship. That is the expectation. Nothing that anyone says on the outside impacts what we do or what we think inside here. Nick is the leader of this football team, and we are all glad to have him."
The Eagles won the NFC East last season but lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the wild-card round of the 2026 playoffs.
A.J. Brown was traded to the Patriots this offseason. Before that blockbuster trade, Philadelphia added Marquise Brown, Dontayvion Wicks and Makai Lemon and hired Sean Mannion as its new OC.
The QB spot is the most important position in the NFL, so if Jalen Hurts plays well next season, the Eagles and Sirianni should be fine without Brown.
However, if Hurts struggles, Philadelphia will be in trouble.
Hurts finished the 2025 season with 3,224 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. He completed 64.8% of his passes.
Hurts enters next season with 17,891 passing yards, 110 passing touchdowns, 3,554 rushing yards and 63 rushing touchdowns in his career. He's made the Pro Bowl three times and won Super Bowl LIX MVP.
The Eagles signed Hurts to a five-year, $255 million extension in April 2023. However, there is little guaranteed money left on Hurts' deal after the 2026 season.
Mannion will be Hurts' sixth play caller since Hurts entered the NFL in 2020. Even though Hurts has a Super Bowl MVP, he's under pressure to play well in 2026. Let's see how he does.
