At Some Point, A.J. Brown Has to Stop Making Comments cover image

Another week… another A.J. Brown comment.

For the Philadelphia Eagles and players on the roster, it certainly has to be getting frustrating.

While I understand that Brown is one of the top wide receivers in the NFL, and I've said many times that I don't think Philadelphia should ever get rid of him, it's very frustrating that he continues to make these types of comments.

However, he did bring up some fair points regarding the Band-Aid on the offense.

While the Eagles' offense hasn't done the job, and they've continued to rely on the defense to save them, it's fair to remember that at some point, this offense will have to look a lot better to win in the playoffs.

"It's not just solely about my situation. I want to win, too," he said, per ESPN. "I think if we're really focused on winning and doing our job, we can't just keep slapping a Band-Aid over the defense doing their job and getting us out of trouble. At what point are we going to pick up our slack as an offense?

"That's what I'm getting at. It's not about, 'I don't care about winning, all I care about is stats.' No. It's been week after week sometimes we're not doing our job on offense. You can't keep slapping a Band-Aid over that and expect to win late in the year and think you're going to go to that at the end of the year. It's not going to f---ing happen."

I understand where Brown is coming from in some sense, but I also don't understand why he continues to harp on this.

If he believes that the offense isn't doing a good enough job, spilling the beans to the media isn't going to change that.

If anything, it's only going to add more fire to the situation and likely cause players to not play as well as they want to.

In the future, I'd like to see him keep these things in-house, but if one thing is for certain with Brown and what we've seen throughout the past few years, it's that he's going to make these comments, no matter what.
