The Philadelphia Eagles could consider making a push to trade for a defensive superstar this offseason.

The Philadelphia Eagles are solely focused on their upcoming run in the NFL playoffs. After what has been an up-and-down season, the Eagles remain one of the top contenders in the NFC playoff picture.

Despite what appeared to be a lot of drama in the locker room throughout the course of the season, Philadelphia was able to pull things together and get into the playoffs. Do the Eagles have enough to win a second straight Super Bowl? That remains to be seen.

Before the 2025 NFL season even began, Howie Roseman was looking to make a blockbuster move. It was reported heavily that Philadelphia tried to acquire superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys.

Parsons ended up being moved to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for two first-round picks and star defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

Heading into the upcoming NFL offseason, could Roseman look to pursue another superstar pass rusher? There is one who could very well become available.

Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas Raiders were clearly at odds last week after the team decided to shut him down for their game against the New York Giants. They claimed that a knee injury looked too bad to allow him to play. Crosby quickly took to social media to share videos of him playing basketball and jumping with the "bad knee."

It's possible that Crosby could be upset enough with the Raiders to consider wanting out. Should he become available on the trade market, the Eagles should be watched closely.

During the 2025 season with Las Vegas, Crosby put together another big year. He played in 15 games, racking up 73 total tackles to go along with 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, an interception, and six defended passes.

At 28 years old, Crosby still has some good years left in him. Depending on the price tag, he's the kind of defensive playmaker that Roseman was trying to acquire when he pursued Parsons. It would make total sense for Philadelphia to attempt to acquire Crosby from the Raiders.

Whether or not the Raiders will actually open up to the idea of trading Crosby remains to be seen. He has been mentioned in trade rumors over the last couple of years, but Las Vegas has refused to move on from him.

Only time will tell whether or not Crosby actually becomes available or whether the Eagles would have interest in pursuing him. However, it's something to watch closely and a scenario that Roseman would almost certainly want to explore.
