The Atlanta Falcons have their biggest game yet this week.

The Atlanta Falcons enter Week 4 after a few days off following a much needed Thursday Night Football domination of the Green Bay Packers on the road to avoid an 0-3 start and put the rest of the league on notice.

Atlanta over the first two weeks of the year is not what this team is, and they just let everyone across football know about it. In terms of teams who are paying attention closely, one of them is going to be the opponent this week. The Falcons face their most significant game yet back on primetime with a showdown against the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.

The Falcons need to head to New Orleans and find a way to leave with a victory, and if they can, it will be the first step towards getting their noses ahead in a very winnable division.

Falcons vs. Saints Could Be First Early Massive Swing in Division

While it's still very early in the season, this is a game which could give the winner the kind of momentum it needs to establish themselves as a favorite in an NFC South which is still extremely weak. Besides the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 0-3, there are three teams in the division at 1-2, and this is going to be a year in which likely 9 or 10 wins gets it done.

So often, a weak division is decided by these games which pit the teams against each other, and while there is a ton of season left, it's Atlanta's chance to bounce back from the embarrassment against the Carolina Panthers and prove they are the team to beat here.

Not to mention the fact that the Falcons are going up against their biggest rival and would like nothing more than to go into their building and send the fans home upset.

It will feel like an eternity between games for Atlanta fans, but the Falcons must be ready to go on Monday night if they want to start to take strides towards taking control of this division. A victory against the Saints could be exactly the type of launching pad this team needs to accomplish its goals.

Things start in the division, and after falling to 0-1 there as well as being embarrassed at home in Week 2, the Falcons must make New Orleans the victims of their quest for revenge.
