The Cleveland Browns requested permission to interview Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski for their vacant head-coaching position, per NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.

Udinski, who just celebrated his 30th birthday Monday, just finished his first season as Liam Coen’s offensive coordinator. He spent the previous three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, working with the quarterbacks.

Udinski helped lead the Jaguars to a No. 11 ranking in total offense during the regular season, averaging 337.4 yards per game.

The Browns fired head coach Kevin Stefanski the day after the regular season ended.
