As the Jaguars begin preparations for Sunday’s AFC Wild Card game against the Buffalo Bills, one key name on the offensive line has become a focal point of the injury report and his status for Sunday is very much worth monitoring.

Left tackle Cole Van Lanen suffered a knee injury during Sunday’s 41-7 win over the Tennessee Titans to clinch the AFC South. He has now missed two days of practice — Wednesday’s practice was a walkthrough — because of his knee and could be headed for a questionable designation for Sunday, depending on how he practices, if at all, Friday.

If Van Lanen can’t go Sunday, Walker Little would likely move back to left tackle. He has been playing right guard in place of the injured Patrick Mekari.

Friday’s report will be very telling for Van Lanen, who has been a productive and versatile player for the Jaguars, playing every position except center.

Update: Van Lanen returned to practice Friday and could be in line to play Sunday.
