The Jacksonville Jaguars liked Jakobi Meyers enough to give up two 2026 draft picks for him, and liked him enough to extend him not long after.
But for one national writer, Meyers is the team’s most overpaid player.
"An AFC South run on receivers continues with a seven-year veteran who has scored just seven touchdowns the last two seasons combined and has just one 1,000-yard campaign on his resume but is one of 23 members of the $20 million-a-year wide receiver club," wrote Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon. "There's limited upside ahead of Meyers’ age-30 campaign in Jacksonville.
In nine games with the Jags last season, Meyers caught 61 passes for 483 yards and the three touchdowns. His contract is 3-years, $60 million.
