The Jaguars' 2026 schedule has been released. Now, here's what games could be most telling of how the Jaguars will fare.
The 2026 NFL schedule was released on Thursday. It's an exciting time for football fans everywhere to see what competition is ahead and it gives them something to look forward to. A lot of great games are slated for all 32 teams.
The Jacksonville Jaguars went 13-4 in the 2025 regular season with a Wild Card Playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills. It was a great season for them with an evident turnaround. The Jaguars have a great lineup and these are the four games fans should be most excited to see in 2026.
1. Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cleveland Browns Week 1:
The Jaguars will take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 1 of the 2026 NFL regular season at home in EverBank Stadium. One of the storylines for the game that is very interesting is that Jags two-way superstar Travis Hunter could have been a Cleveland Brown but they traded their pick to Jacksonville who drafted Hunter with the second pick last season.
The Browns will also have to answer who the starting quarterback will be. It could be Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders or Dillon Gabriel. It could even be rookie Taylen Green. The Browns' defense, which has been exceptional the last few seasons, will face a revamped Jaguars offensive line. Even with players like edge rusher Myles Garrett, who's one of the best in the NFL, the Jags could win this trench-war battle. Jacksonville seems to be the more complete team now, but that doesn't mean that could change by Week 1.
2. Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Houston Texans: Week 6, Wembley Stadium
The Jaguars will face off against their division rival Houston Texans in Wembley Stadium in the United Kingdom in Week 6. This will be the Jaguars' second consecutive game in the United Kingdom. The Texans went 12-5 last year and they have a great defense, but the Jaguars have an offense to match it.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars at Chicago Bears: Week 13
The Jaguars will lineup against the Chicago Bears in Week 13 and the game will be at Soldier Field in Chicago. It will be a cold-weather game for Jacksonville, who will need to adjust to the climate. Also, the Bears are an emerging team and quarterback Caleb Williams continues to improve year by year. This will be another test for the Jaguars to see how they fare against some of the league's best.
4. Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts : Week 18
The Jags will conclude their 2026 regular season against a division rival, the Indianapolis Colts. Last year the Colts went 8-9, but in the beginning, they were one of the better teams in the NFL, starting off on fire until quarterback Daniel Jones was lost to an injury. There's still some uncertainty around how effective Jones will be. This matchup could have playoff implications on the line.
