Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (ankle) was listed on the team's injury report Wednesday, but returned to full practice on Thursday.
Any time a starting quarterback appears on an injury report, it's something worth monitoring, and that's the case with Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
The Jags' fifth-year starter, who has been a franchise cornerstone since being drafted first overall out of Clemson in 2021, showed up on Jacksonville's Wednesday injury report for Week 15.
The good news is, as of now, this doesn't appear to be anything seriou
QB Trevor Lawrence is introduced as the Jaguars host the Colts at EverBank Stadium, Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, in Jacksonville. (Corey Perrine/Florida Times-Union)Lawrence was limited at walkthroughs Wednesday due to a sore ankle, but returned to full participation on Thursday.
The Jaguars have had zero non-participants in practice for the second day in a row. Also returning to full practice were left tackle Walker Little and safety Andrew Wingard, who both cleared concussion protocol.
Lawrence said he still found value in the mid-week light duty, despite his limited participation.
"You get a lot done," he said, especially going over the offense's game plan for first and second downs. "[T}here's a lot of stuff to cover.
"It's a ton of reps of just getting every look that you can and trying to make sure everybody's on the same page, running through everything that's in the plan."
Jags QB Trevor Lawrence returned to full practice Thursday ahead of Week 15 after limited participation (ankle) on Wednesday. (Corey Perrine/Florida Times-Union)Lawrence, who this year has the lowest completion percentage of his career (59.5 percent), has been shaky at times this season. His 11 interceptions are tied for the third-highest in the NFL.
But Duval's "Prince" has taken care of the ball well the past two weeks, throwing four touchdowns and no picks in wins over the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts.
Jacksonville (9-4) is rolling, having won four straight games and five of its last six to take over first place in the AFC South. The Jags have the No. 3 seed in the AFC entering Week 15.
However, the Texans (8-5) and their top-ranked defense are right on Jacksonville's heels. The Colts, also 8-5 and now featuring 44-year-old Philip Rivers at QB, remain in the mix. Although the Jags should be able to beat the 3-10 New York Jets at home this Sunday, their next two games, at Denver (11-2) and at Indianapolis, will test them.
The Jaguars, under first-year head coach Liam Coen, need a healthy Lawrence down the stretch.
If Lawrence has to miss games -- and, again, it doesn't look like he will -- Nick Mullins would be next in line. Mullins, 30, has thrown just three passes in his first season with the Jaguars and hasn't started a game since 2023, when he made five starts for the Minnesota Vikings.
