The Jaguars lost a breakbreaker to the Houston Texans on Sunday, losing 34-31 on a walk-off 49-yard field goal.

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans battled in an instant classic inside Wembley Stadium in London.

Unfortunately for the Jaguars, they couldn't stop Houston's offense and were called for several penalties which allowed the Texans to stay on the field. It resulted in a brutal 34-31 loss. Jacksonville fell to 4-2 and allowed Houston to pull within two games at 2-4.

It was a back-and-forth day for Trevor Lawrence, who started the game missing several makable throws. Lawrence finished 24-for-41 for 306 yards and four TDs, but threw a huge interception in the end zone after Bhayshul Tuten had a touchdown wiped out due to a phantom holding call on tight end Brenton Strange.

Tuten would score a pair of receiving TDs, the first multi-score game of his career. Travis Hunter had his biggest day of the season as a receiver, catching four passes for 59 yards and his second-career TD, both at Wembley Stadium.

Nate Boerkircher had a beautiful one-handed grab for the first touchdown of his career.

But, in the end, the Jaguars' defense couldn't get off the field when it needed to, and couldn't stop C.J. Stroud, who threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns.

Jacksonville's top-ranked run defense gave up 114 yards on the ground to a Texans team that came in averaging only 79 yards rushing per game and was without their top RB, David Montgomery.

The Jaguars gave up 426 yards of total offense and were penalized six times for 66 yards.

The penalties were brutal and came at the worst possible times.

The terrible call on Strange took a touchdown off the board, and a pass-interference call on Hunter directly led to a Texans' touchdown.

Neither team recorded a sack, but the Texans were able to get more pressure on Lawrence than the Jaguars could get on Stroud.

Even when Stroud was pressured, he still found ways to make huge plays, including a perfectly thrown 52-yard bomb to Jaylin Noel as he was hit.

The Jaguars batted back after trailing by double digits for much of the second half. Cam Little hit a 60-yard field goal with 1:58 left to tie the game at 31. However, the Texans were able to drive down the field, and Ka'imi Fairbairn hit a walk-off 49-yard field goal to give Houston the win.

One week after winning on a 57-yard Little walk-off, the Jaguars experienced a complete 180 and suffered a heartbreaking loss.

The game was an instant classic. However, the Jaguars came out on the losing end.

Now Jacksonville gets its bye week and has plenty of things to clean up before taking the field again.
