Jacksonville enters its very important clash against the Patriots, a mostly healthy team, while New England has a few players in danger of missing the game.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are heading into their Week 3 showdown with the defending AFC champions, the New England Patriots, as a mostly healthy bunch.

The team released its Thursday injury report, and the only Jaguar who didn't participate in any capacity was linebacker Branson Combs. Combs' absence was listed as a personal matter and not injury-related.

Joining Combs on the report were running back LeQuint Allen Jr. (hip), center Robert Hainsey (elbow/groin), defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton (back), wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (thumb), right tackle Cole Van Lanen (knee), and cornerback Christian Braswell (knee).

Braswell was listed as a full participant for the second day in a row.

Other than Combs and Braswell, everyone else on the injury report was listed as a limited participant on Thursday. All five also had limited practices on Wednesday as well.

Starting the practice week with two limited practices puts all five of Allen, Hainsey, Hamilton, Meyers, and Van Lanen on track to play on Sunday.

Of course, it is worth keeping an eye out for everyone's official injury designation on Friday, but Jacksonville looks to be in good shape healthwise as it prepares for a huge clash against another of the NFL's top teams.

Looking To Respond After Loss

The Jaguars enter Week 3 looking to respond after last week's loss against the Denver Broncos. The defeat at the hands of the Broncos ended Jacksonville's nine-game regular-season winning streak.

Head coach Liam Coen stressed the importance of his team being able to "move on and respond" after the loss earlier in the week. On Wednesday, Coen told reporters there was "definitely a sense of urgency" from the offense in practice.

Having all hands on deck against New England will certainly improve the Jaguars' chances to get back into the win column.

Patriots Injury Report

The Patriots, on the other hand, had several players who missed practice Thursday, including one who was downgraded after being a limited participant on Wednesday.

Linebackers Dre'Mont Jones and Quintayvious Hutchins were both unable to practice for the second day in a row. The same goes for safety Craig Woodson.

After getting in a limited practice Wednesday, rookie tight end Eli Raridon was downgraded after not practicing Thursday. Being downgraded mid-week is never a good thing for a player's chance to suit up on Sunday.

Offensive tackle Morgan Moses, running back Reggie Gilliam, and safety Brenden Schooler were all listed at limited participants for the second day in a row.

Cornerback Carlton Davis III fully practiced again on Thursday. Offensive tackle Dametrious Crownover was upgraded to full participation after being limited on Wednesday, and defensive end DaQuan Jones returned to a full practice after not practicing on Wednesday for personal reasons.
