The Jacksonville Jaguars lost a tough one on Sunday, blowing a 13-3 third-quarter lead before falling 20-13 to the Denver Broncos.

Beating a team like Denver on the road would have been a massive statement for the Jaguars. It could have erased most, if not all, of the doubts anyone had about whether or not they were truly one of the NFL's best teams.

The game looked like it was going to be a Jacksonville win until a Trevor Lawrence interception completely changed the game.

Instead, the Jaguars saw their nine-game regular-season winning streak end. Coach Liam Coen spoke about the necessity to "move on and respond" with the New England Patriots coming to town in Week 3.

The loss hurt Jacksonville in the standings, guaranteeing Denver the tiebreaker if both teams end up finishing with the same record. It also cost the Jaguars an early two-game lead in the AFC South, with the other three teams all starting 0-2.

However, it did not hurt Jacksonville in ESPN's weekly NFL power rankings. The Jaguars remained 13th in this week's rankings, still a low spot for a team that hadn't lost since the middle of last season.

ESPN focused on each team's quarterback in its power rankings this week. For Trevor Lawrence, it revealed a concerning issue that must be improved.

There isn't a quarterback in the NFL who doesn't see his performance suffer when under pressure. For Lawrence, the difference has been extreme through the first two games.

"One thing we know about the QB1: Trevor Lawrence has to be better against pressure.

"The difference is stark for Lawrence this season. When he's not under pressure, he's completing 76.9% of his passes (11th in the NFL) for three touchdowns to one interception. When he's under pressure, he's completing only 38.5% of his passes, with one TD. Jacksonville's offensive line struggled against Denver, and if that becomes a seasonlong issue, Lawrence is going to have to be more efficient under pressure. He won't face easy defensive fronts over the next month, either. -- Michael DiRocco"

That is a troubling statistic, especially considering Jacksonville has an offensive line full of new faces and players playing different positions than they are used to. It may take some time before the line builds the continuity needed to be successful and before the players develop the muscle memory needed at their new spots.

Unfortunately for the Jaguars, the toughest stretch of their schedule has just started, so the line and Lawrence's play under pressure need to improve quickly.

Jacksonville just played last year's AFC top seed and now has the conference champion Patriots. After the Patriots, the Jaguars go on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals, then have home battles against the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans.

Jacksonville's upcoming schedule is daunting, making it imperative that Lawrence finds a way to play better under pressure. It also puts a heavy burden on an offensive line still learning to play together.

If those things don't happen, it could be a long, disappointing month for the Jaguars. If they do, Jacksonville can clearly establish itself as one of the league's top contenders with victories over some of the NFL's best teams.
